LangSon Farms started out by raising food for our growing family to eat and it has grown from there. We sell only what we feed our own family. We believe it is important for our animals to be given the time and respect they need to grow. Our products are non-GMO, non-certified naturally grown. GRASSFED BEEF: Our cattle are grass-fed throughout their lives, calves are born here on the farm, spending lots of time on pasture, and eating our natural hay in the wintertime. FARM RAISED PORK: The pigs are raised in a natural small farm setting in small groups, given lots of room to roam and root, eating lots of compost and grains. FREE RANGE FLOCKS: The chickens free-range outdoors through the spring and summer, and enjoy the warmth of the old bank barn in the winter. They eat grains, lots of wild berries, grubs, and treats from our gardens. We know that food grown on healthy land with healthy farming practices produces a healthy product. We act as stewards of this land, caring for its health to support your family and ours by using regenerative farming practices.

We are a mother daughter duo starting our dairy herd from scratch. I grew up on a farm and wanted my daughter to have that experience as well. I got her started into the 4H program. She chose the dairy club and that’s how we ended up with a calf (now “a cow”). We are up to 7 in our herd. We started experimenting with our own milk to see what we can create. We love ice cream so why not try that! Researching, taking the ice cream course at U of G we have come up with our own recipe and flavour combinations. We love creating different combinations of homemade artisan small batch ice cream using the A2 Guernsey milk. And with using A2 milk we have customers who have dairy intolerances are able to enjoy our amazing frozen treats and coming back for more!

Our brewing focus is on the modern beer styles we love to drink, share and seek out. We also focus on the styles we aren’t able to easily find locally otherwise. Top of the list are hazy and juicy hop-forward IPAs. We make them big on flavour and low on bitterness. We also love brewing and drinking big pastry stouts that feature dessert-like flavours such as coffee, chocolate, coconut and maple syrup. We round out our lineup with fun and exploratory sour beers where we experiment with different flavour combinations through large fruit additions and other complementary ingredients. Our goal is to turn each of our beers into a memorable experience.
